New EVs on the horizon

This Market is Hot! 🔥

Electric vehicles (EVs) continue to gain market share in the transportation sector as an alternative to traditional cars and trucks. In fact, due to technological EV advancements in recent years, EVs are also taking away market share from hybrid vehicles as buyers are looking to join the EV life full-on and live a carbon-free lifestyle.

The increasing global demand for EVs stems from several factors. Here are the top five:

  1. The availability of green energy is growing globally, and prices are falling as compared with rising crude oil prices.
  2. Transportation infrastructure is developing in favor of EV ownership as public charging stations become more readily available, along with home and workplace charging stations.
  3. A growing population is either gaining a better awareness and understanding of global warming and the effects of climate change or has directly experienced such ramifications thereof, such as extreme weather, fires, etc. and wants to do its part for a safer environment.
  4. EV owners can take advantage of tax benefits and other savings options available to them.
  5. EVs are being considered as a potential electricity source at home when the power goes out, making it a sustainable product twice over![i]

Whether you are already an EV owner looking for a new model or are in the market for your first EV, the coming year, 2023, offers plenty of choices with a fresh and exciting lineup, including new shapes, sizes, and features. Beyond just automobiles, the list of new models includes pick-up trucks, SUVs, and crossovers in addition to other vehicles.[ii] The price range varies considerably, from the budget minded to the luxury driver and the performance-focused model, so no matter what your budget is, you are likely to find something appealing. In fact, dozens of pure electric models are set to debut by the end of 2024.[iii]

The Rundown

Are you deciding which EV to buy? This can surely seem like a daunting process, but it shouldn’t be. To start, here are a few examples of EVs coming online in 2023 and a brief description provided by the manufacturers’ websites.
