Meet Ford’s New Darling: The Mustang Mach-E

The eveelife team is currently in Arizona at the Mom 2.0 Summit, where we had the pleasure to experience Ford’s new electric hot rod–the Ford Mustang Mach-E. 

The 2023 Mustang Mach-E is a super fun blend of past, present and future. It’s a mashup of their iconic 1960s design with an SUV body that is totally of the moment. What you get is an electric SUV with all the fun, distinguished Mustang bits (like the long bonnet and muscular ‘haunches’) with a fresh, modern perspective. A new alternative to EV SUVs such as the Tesla Model Y, BMW iX3, Kia EV6, Audi Q4 e-tron and Skoda Enyaq, it has enough passenger space for five adults to sit comfortably enough over short distances.

Some other features we’re loving:

• Lots of clever and useful storage cubbies 
• Two boots–a small one up front, and a full-size one at the back
• A massive touchscreen infotainment system 
• A choice between price, range, and performance, the cheapest option being a rear-wheel-drive car fitted with the 70kWh battery
• A long range battery that can guarantee up to 379 in between charges
• 0-60 in about 5.5 seconds, or the the 487hp GT version which will get you to 60mph in just 3.7secs
• A full suite of active driving aids, which can accelerate, decelerate, and help keep you in your lane on the motorway
• It senses an imminent forward collision and there’s no time to stop, its Evasive Steering Assist can guide you around the potential accident

This new EV is available in different models: Select, Premium, California Route 1, GT and GT Performance Edition. We checked out three of the Mustang Mach-E models, including the California Route 1, which has 0–60 exhilaration, an EPA-estimated range of 312 miles** and zero tailpipe emissions. All agreed that thehey’re gorgeous! *And perfect for a getaway!)
