Bananatex® is derived from Abacá banana plants grown in the Philippine highlands, where sustainable mixed agriculture and forestry practices create a natural ecosystem. This remarkable plant requires no pesticides, fertilizers, or additional water, making it self-sufficient and environmentally friendly. By cultivating Abacá banana plants, areas that were once eroded due to monocultural palm plantations have been restored, promoting reforestation and enhancing biodiversity.
